Congratulations to the JV Boys Soccer Champs!!  QMS

Congratulations to the girls varsity soccer team for their win against Rothesay Park.  Scores by Julija Rans 2, Martina Carvell 1, Mallory Forbes 1, Emma Jensen 1 and Monica Forestell 1.  

Congratulations to the Girls JV Soccer team for coming in 2nd place in the playoffs.  A good job done Girls! 

The undefeated Boys Varsity Soccer team defeated Hampton 5-0.  Brade Payne 2, Cameron McGrath 1, Brad Sanford 1, Nick Ellingwood 1.  Also the Boys Varsity Soccer team play against Harry Miller for the last game of the regular season.

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Soccer team for defeating Hampton.  Scores by Julija Rans 2, Martina Carvell 1, Mallory Forbes 1, Jen McTague 2 and Abby McDonald 2.

QMS Cross Country did well in the NB Middle School Cross Country meet.  It was wet, windy and cold.  Grade 6 boys finished 2nd as a team.  Nick Ellingwood 3rd place, Riley Lockhart 6th place.  Issac Belliveau 13th and Marshall Howard 28th place.  For grade 8 boys: Ben Richard finished 5th place.  M. Boucher wants to congratulate all QMS x-country for a great season!

Congratulations to the JV Boys Soccer team for defeating HMMS by a score of 2-1.  Goals by Blake Constable and Matt McLeary.

JV Girls Soccer team won against HMMS 3-1.  Stephanie Hampton scored all three goals!

JV Soccer Boys won 4-1 against Sussex.  Goals scored by Jacob Ferren 1, Stephen Seelye 1, Blake Constable 1 and Drake Melanson 1.  Congratulations!

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity soccer team for their win against Sussex.  The final score was 6-0.  Scores by Julija Rans 3, Monica Forestell 2 and Emma Jensen 1.

 The JV Girls soccer team tied Harry Miller 0-0 last night.  Great effort from all the girls.

Our runners did well in St. George.  Four QMS runners ran.  Grade 6: Will Drummond finished 2nd and Riley Lockhart 4th place.  Grade 8: Kalen Mawer finished 6th place and Tylor Connolly finished 2nd. 

Great meet at RNS Cross Country Race.  QMS runners did well.  Good job everybody!  Grade 6 Boys: Will Drummond/1st; Nic Ellingwood/2nd; Marshall Howard/3rd; Issac Belliveau/4th; Riley Lockhart/5th.  Grade 7 Girls: Emma Jensen/2nd; Martina Carvell/6th; Baily Cammack/7th; Lisa Dewar/8th.  Grade 8 boys: Ben Richard/2nd; Nick Maloney/7th; Peter Davis/10th. 

Congratulations to the Girls' Soccer team on a great win against Hampton.  Scoring for QMS were: Erica, Sarah, Monica, Julija and Miranda.  Great job!

Congratulations to our golf team as they came in 2nd place at the District Tournament in Hampton yesterday.  The team consisted of Pat Gallagher, Ethan Goldsmith, Cody Perkins, Isaac Porter, Derick Steven, Logan Saunders and Sam Young.  Great job guys!

September 2009

'Awesome" race for QMS x-country runners at the JDI Reversing Fall meet.  Everybody did great.  For Grade 6 boys, Will Drummond - 1st place, Issac Beliveau - 4th place, Rilley Lockhart - 6th place.  Grade 7 girls: Lauren Stack 2nd place, Emma Jensen 6th place and Alex Laskey 14th place.  Grade 8 girls: Abby MacDonald 3rd place, Martina Carvell - 5th place, Jen McTague - 9th place, Lisa Dewar - 11th place and Baily Commack - 14th place.  Grade 8 boys: Tylor Connelly - 3rd place, Ben Richard - 6th place, Nick Maloney 11th place and Peter Davis 16th place.  Grade 8 girls and boys won for team place. 

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Soccer team who won the annual Harry Miller Honey Bowl tournament.  They beat Harry Miller 1-0 in the final game.  Also, they won their game against RNS 9-0.  Scoring for QMS: Sadie Dunnett, Monica Forestell, Julija Rans, Martina Carvell, Maranda Losier, Amelia Goodwin, Abby McDonald and Jen McTague.

May 2009

Two students from QMS were recognized as “Teens Who Care Awards” at the Delta Brunswick on Thursday evening Kelsie Blacquier from Mr. Boucher’s class and Amber Benson from Ms Cochrane’s class.  It is a wonderful award for these two girls to receive.  Thank you for caring girls.  Both girls received a total of $300 in cash and certificates.


Congratulations to Megan McCracken who won the Provincial French Oratorical!

3 Cheers for Erin Cormier who placed 1st with her poster for the UCT Safety Poster Contest. Sarah Beaman came in 2nd. Congratulations!

Congratulations go out to the Girls Volleyball team for coming 3rd at the Sussex Tournament!

Congratulations to the varsity boys’ volleyball team in the semi-final performance at the “Blue and Gold” tournament in Moncton.  The boys’ lost a close match to Albert Street Middle School and their consolation match. 

 The girls’ volleyball team placed 2nd in their division in the Moncton volleyball tournament.  Way to go girls!

 Congratulations to Melissa Brunet for winning MVP at the cheerleading competition.  Great job Melissa!

Congratulations to Megan Toner who won 2nd place overall in the District Level Oratorical Competition.

Congratulations to the varsity boys’ volleyball team on their semi-final finish in Fredericton.  Also, congratulations to Erik Nissen on his tournament MVP award.

 January
Knights of Columbus sponsor two different art contests.  One is on "Drug awareness" and the other is on "Alcohol awareness".  Prizes will be awarded on January 9, 2009 at 1:30 at QMS
